In the first installment of our Helper Highlight segment, HometownTV reporter Drew Cobb brings us exciting news about the recent success of a food drive in the Elk City and Canute communities. This impactful initiative, called “Stamp Out Hunger,” was organized by the United States Postal Service (USPS) and garnered tremendous support from local residents.
The “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive resulted in an incredible collection of 2878.9 pounds of food. This generous contribution will directly benefit families in our community who are struggling with food insecurities. It is heartwarming to witness the kindness and compassion of our fellow community members coming together to make a difference.
Looking ahead, Help Inc, a local organization dedicated to assisting those in need, has set its sights on restocking plastic and paper bags for future initiatives. They are reaching out to the public, asking for their support in this endeavor. Donations of plastic and paper bags can be dropped off at Elk City Help, Inc., located at 609 W. E Ave in Elk City.
Join us in celebrating the success of the “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive and continue supporting Help Inc’s mission to make a positive impact in our community. Together, we can provide vital resources to those facing challenging circumstances.
