HometownTV’s Gabe Edney was in downtown Elk City today, bringing you the latest updates on the ongoing infrastructure projects. He had the opportunity to speak with City Employee Jay Roberts, who provided a work-progress report on the current developments.
One of the major projects highlighted is the replacement of an old 6″ water main with a new 12″ PVC water main. This upgrade is being done in preparation for the Main Street Renovation project scheduled by the highway department early next year. The city is taking proactive measures to ensure a smooth transition and improved infrastructure.
Additionally, Gabe mentions that work will soon commence on the storm drain replacement project on Broadway. The project will start at Main Street and gradually progress eastwards towards the creek. This initiative aims to enhance the drainage system and mitigate potential flooding issues.
