Elk City residents lined up along 3rd street this morning to bid farewell to the Big Elks as they embarked on their journey towards the 4A state title game. The Elk City High School activity bus was escorted by fire trucks and police cars with sirens and lights on, and the community showed their support by waving and cheering as the bus passed by.
In a video submitted by Jon Greene, we can see the excitement in the air as the Big Elks leave town for the championship game against Oolagah. If you want to follow the game and support the team, be sure to check out bigelktv.com.
The Big Elks have had an incredible season so far, and the community is rallying behind them as they go for the state title. We wish them the best of luck and look forward to celebrating their victory upon their return. Go Big Elks!
